Anne-Marie has been crowned MTV Brand New for 2016.
Battling against ten of the hottest new acts for the year ahead – including Northern newcomers Blossoms, multi-instrumentalist Jack Garratt, and the already chart-topping WSTRN – Anne-Marie has been the favourite to win throughout.
Receiving the highest number of votes in the history of the competition, the ‘Do It Right’ singer accepted the gong during a ceremony held at Camden’s Electric Ballroom, last week.
Accepting her award, Anne-Marie said: “I’m speechless! I am so happy to have won MTV Brand New with Emporio Armani Diamonds! I’ve had all of my friends and family voting so sending a huge thank you to everyone who did! It was a dream come true to perform ahead of Craig David last week, he’s absolutely amazing and what a show with all of the classics. Thank you so much MTV, this is incredible!”
The singer cut her teeth in the industry as Rudimental’s live show vocalist and has subsequently worked with the likes of Magnetic Man, Gorgon City and Raized By Wolves.
Now, currently on her own tour, Anne-Marie has recently released her video for ‘Do It Right’, which has picked up radio support from KISS, KISSS Fresh, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
