Isle Of Wight Festival has expanded its 2016 line-up with five new additions.
The Cribs lead the latest line-up announcement from the legendary Isle Of Wight Festival, which takes place from the 9th – 12th June at Seaclose Park.
2015 proved a landmark year for The Cribs, as they celebrated their 10th anniversary, released their sixth album ‘For All My Sisters’, and scooped up the ‘Spirit Of Independence’ award at the Q Awards and the ‘Outstanding Contribution To Music’ gong at the NME Awards.
The Wakefield indie-rockers will be joined by rock ‘n’ roll duo The Kills, Britpop alumni Ocean Colour Scene, rockers and Coronation Street stars Status Quo, and ‘Over My Shoulder’ hitmakers Mike + The Mechanics, at the annual event.
These new additions join previously announced bill toppers Queen and Adam Lambert, who will make their very first U.K. festival appearance at Isle Of Wight, and co-headliners Stereophonics and Faithless.
Pop sensations Busted and Jess Glynne, will also join Scot-rockers Twin Atlantic, ‘Nobody To Love’ hitmakers Sigma, and Celtic-rockers The Corrs, at what is the first festival of the summer.
The bill is bolstered by a plethora of punk acts including Iggy Pop, Adam Ant and Buzzcocks. As well as last month’s additions; Blossoms, Everything Everything, Sunset Sons, Feeder, Reef, Turin Brakes, Cast, Alabama 3, Joanne Shaw Taylor, and The Second Sons.
