Isle Of Wight Festival has announced the return of its ‘Live And Unsigned’ competition.

Unsigned acts will battle it out for a chance to win a slot on Isle Of Wight Festival’s legendary Main Stage, alongside headliners Queen and Adam Lambert, Stereophonics and Faithless.

To be in with a chance of joining this year’s line-up, artists can apply online by submitting an original song of their choice.

A team of industry insiders will whittle down the entries, with the finalists performing a short set at London’s Half Moon venue on the 29th Mar 2016.

A judging panel led by festival head honcho, John Giddings, will carefully select the winner, who will also receive the chance to record at the Skinny Mammoth studio on the Isle Of Wight.

John Giddings said: “The festival has an amazing heritage with the acts we’ve had performing over the years. However, we are dedicated to supporting new talent.”

“This competition provides winners with an amazing opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people. We’ve always been really impressed by all of the talent who have entered in previous years.”

The event, which takes place from 9th – 12th June 2016, will also showcase pop sensations Busted and Jess Glynne, Scot-rockers Twin Atlantic, and ‘Nobody To Love’ hitmakers Sigma, amongst others over the weekend.
