Kendal Calling has revealed four huge headliners for its 2016 event.

Having sold out in record time and expanded to a four-day festival in 2015, Kendal Calling shows no signs of slowing down. Expect bill-topping sets from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Rudimental, Madness and The Charlatans from the fields, this summer.

Local legend Noel Gallagher, with his High Flying Birds band, will bring a catalogue of festival-ready anthems – including cuts from his two solo records plus some old favourites – for what is sure to be one of Kendal Calling’s defining moments.

Kendal Calling founder Ben Robinson commented: “My first gig in a field was Loch Lomond watching Oasis twenty years ago. That moment defined my youth and calling in the years to follow. Noel’s songwriting has soundtracked the lives of millions over the last two decades; it’s with great pride that we’re able to bring those anthems and his new hits to the fields of Kendal Calling.”

Meanwhile, award-winning, festival faves Rudimental will bring their high-octane live show – and chart-topping collaborations – to the annual event.

The festival, which celebrated its 10th birthday last summer, will also welcome ‘Baggy Trousers’ hitmakers Madness, as they celebrate 40 years since their formation.

Finally festival stalwart Tim Burgess will join his band The Charlatans in headlining the 2016 edition of Kendal Calling. A year on from their release of ‘Modern Nature’ and five years on from the founding of Tim Peaks Diner, the band will headline the festival for the second time.

Tim Burgess enthused: “As ever, I’m really looking forward to Kendal Calling. The sixth year in a row for me, the second time The Charlatans will have headlined and this year is the fifth year for Tim Peaks. It’s going to be an extra special four days. See you there!”

Joining the headliners are Catfish And The Bottlemen, Everything Everything, Band Of Skulls, Ash, The Hives, The Darkness, We Are Scientists, and Blossoms.

Rat Boy, Hooton Tennis Club, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Pretty Vicious, and The Sugarhill Gang will also perform at the festival, which takes place from the 28th – 31st July 2016 in Cumbria’s Lowther Deer Park.

Meanwhile, the Dance Stage will play host to Craig David’s TS5, David Rodigan MBE and Toddla T.
