The Vamps will headline 2015’s Blackpool iFest Switch-On event.
On Fri 4th Sept 2015, the resort’s famous illuminations will be switched on and to celebrate heartthrobs The Vamps will perform.
Bringing five Top 10 singles, and tracks from their highly anticipated second album, The Vamps are sure to draw a huge crowd at the annual event.
Deputy leader of Blackpool Council, Gillian Campbell, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to confirm The Vamps as headliners. They are huge names on the U.K. music scene and the incredible numbers they generate in terms of interest show what a massive following they bring with them.”
More special guests and a ‘Switch-On Star’ will be revealed soon.
Meanwhile, The Vamps are well on the way to completing their second album.
The pop foursome have also admitted that their upcoming record shows a slight change in musical direction with more electro synth sounds.
Lead singer Brad Simpson exclusively told us: “It’s got a kind of [The] Police, meets 80’s MGMT-kinda synth in a few places but still feels very ‘Vamps’ in a sense of the chorus. It’s really good, and I can’t wait to get it out there.”
“Fingers crossed, people will actually enjoy it, but I don’t think it’s a big stray away from what we have already been putting out over the last two years.”
