Years & Years remain at No. 1 with debut album ‘Communion’

Years & Years remain at No. 1 in the U.K. charts with debut album ‘Communion’.

‘King’ hitmakers Years & Years have been crowned king of the charts once again, spending a second week in the top spot of the U.K. Albums Chart.

The LP, which features former No. 2 single ‘Shine’ and No. 1 hit ‘King’, has outsold its nearest competitor Ed Sheeran’s ‘x’ by more than 7,000 copies.

Aussie psych-rockers Tame Impala, are at No. 3 with their third album ‘Currents’, which is this week’s highest new entry.

James Bay’s ‘Chaos And The Calm’ is at No. 4, and Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’ rounds off the Top 5.

Elsewhere in the Top 40, former Jonas Brothers bandmate Nick Jonas has scored his highest charting album to date with his self-titled release at No. 16.

Meanwhile, Will Young has re-entered the Top 40 with ‘85% Proof’, which has climbed an impressive 35 places to sit at No. 25.

Royal Blood’s debut rises four places this week to No. 37. While Leon Bridges’ soulful record ‘Coming Home’ has climbed nine places to No. 38.

Over in the U.K. Singles Chart girl group Little Mix are also enjoying their second week at No. 1 with latest offering ‘Black Magic’.

Little Mix have now become the first girl group to top the charts for more than a single week in eight years. Sugababes were the last to do so with ‘About You Now’, which spent four weeks in the top spot in Autumn 2007.
